Last week saw a very successful 2-night run of Heroes, Villains and Lovers at the Ice Factory in Teignmouth. The actors worked incredibly hard, each taking on several roles over the course of the evening, and between them portrayed characters as varied as Henry V, Portia, Mark Antony, Macbeth, Titania, Goneril and Regan, Shylock, Richard III, Hamlet, Rosalind and Orlando, Prince Hal, Queen Margaret and many more (though not all at once).
We were delighted with the enthusiastic feedback for this themed collection of scenes from Shakespeare, as well as raising funds to go towards our new staging. We’re hoping to put together another production showcasing Shakespeare’s ‘infinite variety’ this autumn, so watch this space…
